A book presentation to another charity organization
On Monday, October 16th I have another presentation in Passau, Germany. This time I am invited by a group called „Ladies Circle“ which I got to know some time ago. They are a group of very active women between 18 and 45 years of age. I’m really very much looking forward to meeting them and sharing my story with them. It will be also very interesting to share experiences and opinions about community service with other service organizations.
What is „Ladies‘ Circle“?
Ladies‘ Circle is a social networking organisation for young women aged between 18 and 45, founded in 1932. It aims to promote friendship through social contact at local, national and international level and to be of service to the community. For many years Circlers were the wives or partners of members of Round Table, but in 1993 the rules were changed and Ladies‘ Circle is now open to any woman in the age range 18 – 45, and whilst Ladies‘ Circle work very closely with Round Table on many issues, both business and social, they are a totally independent organisation. The duck-race in Passau
The other day Karoline and me visited their duck-race, a fun project with a strong charity character. People could buy numbers of ducks which where then competing during a race in a local river.
