My last day in Istanbul – and there was beautiful weather. Sunshine, around 20 degree Celsius. So for me it was clear, to spend the time outside and get some great shots from Istanbul during the day. In my hotel room there was an image with panoramic view over Istanbul with some birds on it. Unfortunately the birds were photoshopped into the image in a very bad and messy way. So I took the challenge to shoot a similar photograph without retouching birds into it.
The second challenge was to get some nice panoramic pictures of Istanbul from asian side of the town. Everything which happens in between will be just a surprise. So I started my walk and returned late evening at around 22:00.
The first shot with the bird in between the minarets took me around 1,5 hours of waiting and trying. Unfortunately I did not bring a tripod with me, so holding the camera for such a long time was pretty exhausting. But worth it, I think.
